While the browser version of the game has only released in Japan, perhaps the West will now get a better chance of getting the game on smartphone. The upcoming smartphone version, Kingdom Hearts Unchained X, will be based off the browser game, except renewed for smartphone. However, it has been reworked for touchscreens, of course, and will have new story mechanics.In Kingdom Hearts X you play as a Keyblade wielder during the Great Keyblade War, with parts of the story that weaves Kingdom Hearts III. Square Enix has announced that it’s bringing the Japan-only browser title “Kingdom Hearts X” to iOS and Android in this week’s issue of Famitsu magazine.
